Less than half an hour from start to finish.Ĭould not have been easier or more straight forward. Then all I needed to do was put the swing box on the hinge, install the supplied lock, and Boom, It's done. 6 per side, 4 on the end, 2 on the other side of the support arm. Took an impact drill and the supplied screws, and straight into the bed. I used some tape to hold up the arm, took a sharpie, marked the wholes. I assembled the arm (10 seconds, just two nuts) lined it up 4" above the bed liner, its about 1/4" thick so it sits a little higher than its supposed too but it makes no difference). Drilling into the bed definitely scared me a little but once I took everything out and market it, it was easy as could be. For times when I get in the tailgate and need extra light and don't have the tonneau cover open they will work great I think. So I ordered My Dualliner bed liner for my Bighorn last week and it just came in today, and too sum that up quick, really nice liner, pretty pricey ($420) but fitment was 95% and instal was easy as pie, Now onto the Swing case, Ordered two of these on Amazon 2 days ago (driver side and passengers side) and they just came in tonight. They are powered by AAA batteries and only cost a few bucks. My plan is to stick an LED light puck on each of my swing cases. However, if you "swing" one of the cases open the entire bed will light up. There is some light that will still shine through but it is limited. This will be the perfect combo for me.Īs far as blocking the LED bed lights - they definitely do. I solved for that using the 2x4's in one of my previous posts.I also just decided to pick up a bedrug bed mat (not the full liner). I'm very happy with them.the big concern I had was putting small items in the back and not having a bed divider and having them slide up/down the bed while driving. Plus, they come out in a matter of seconds if you need the full bed to load/haul stuff. For me, I carry around some general tools and a couple different hitches for my trailers. I just don't like the look of the RamBoxes or the way they take up so much bed space. If I were planning on using them every day and needed even more storage space, I would have gotten Ramboxes. Generally speaking I really like the Swingcases. Click to expand.I'll get some pics and upload them this afternoon of my setup.
